Dr. Carolyn Kilbride MacArthur is a board-certified dentist and board-eligible endodontist with advanced specialty training in endodontic diagnosis, root canal therapy, endodontic microsurgery, and regenerative endodontic therapy.
Dr. MacArthur earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She subsequently completed a three-year residency in Endodontics at UConn Health, where she earned a Master of Dental Science degree. Her graduate research focused on endodontic treatment planning and care delivery models for pediatric and special needs populations, with an emphasis on improving interdisciplinary coordination and long-term outcomes.
Her clinical work has included complex endodontic treatment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and care for medically and behaviorally diverse patients. She has served on the Foundation for Endodontics Outreach Committee and the REACH Resident Expert Advisory Council, reflecting a longstanding commitment to professional leadership and service.
Dr. MacArthur is engaged in ongoing public health research in preventive pediatric oral health, with a focus on behavioral systems that improve early childhood brushing habits and long-term oral health outcomes.
She has provided endodontic care through service initiatives in Jamaica, Honduras, and on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, and remains committed to expanding access to specialty dental care in underserved communities.
Dr. MacArthur previously served as an Adjunct Instructor of Anatomy at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine, contributing to interdisciplinary medical education.
She is a member of the American Association of Endodontists.
Her broader interests include regenerative endodontics, preventive oral health systems, and healthcare innovation aimed at improving access, patient experience, and long-term outcomes for children and families.
